Short biography and CV

Dr. Athanasios Glaros is assistant Professor of “Orthodox Ecclesiastical Literature” at the Faculty of Social Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. After obtaining the Marasleios Academy Diploma (1984) and the bachelor degree in Theology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1990), he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Theology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2000).

He has worked as a teacher at primary schools (1990-2001) and as Professor of The Athens Ecclesiastical Academy (2001-2005). He has been assistant editor of the scientific periodical issue «Nea Sion» of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem for a couple of years, and he had his own radio programme under the title «Pedagogic Themes» in the radio station of the Greek Orthodox Church (1991-1999).

Dr. Athanasios Glaros is also an active contributor to several research programs at the University of Athens and the Greek National Institute of Research, as well as, a member of Byzantine choirs performing worldwide.
