The Department of Social Theology and Religious Studies implements
a Quality Assurance Policy aligned with the strategy and institutional
framework of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Its purpose is the continuous improvement of education, research,
services and academic infrastructure.
Implementation and monitoring are carried out through the Department’s
Internal Evaluation Group (OMEA), in cooperation with the NKUA Quality
Assurance Unit (MODIP). The entire academic community contributes to
quality processes, including the Department’s governing bodies,
teaching and support staff, administrative services and students.

The Undergraduate Programme 2026–2027 incorporates the principles
of student-centred learning, equality, inclusion, accessibility,
academic integrity and digital transformation. Its development and
periodic review are based on continuous feedback and internal and
external evaluation, in alignment with the Standards and Guidelines
for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015).
Student Participation in Evaluation
Student views are an important source of feedback. Completion of course
and programme evaluation questionnaires is voluntary, and the results
are used to improve teaching, educational practice and the Department’s
overall academic work.
